Her 1st concert

I took Kelsie to her first concert last Saturday. It was the Candlelight Serenade benefit concert at Thanksgiving Point. It was an all day event with a bunch of different bands and kids 5 and under were free. I didn't know if Kels would like it or not but DUH, miss dancer had a blast! Kelsie-isms

Kelsie's favorite time of day for food is breakfast. She is an extremely picky eater but loves just about everything breakfast. This is one of her favorite cereals. She calls it Cookie Kiss.

Kelsie asked me to take her picture with her baby. When I asked her what her what her baby's name was she replied with "baby Jesus".

A couple more of her current phrases are: "not quite yet" (she says it ALL the time & it applies to everything: bed time, dinner, clean-up, potty) and "e not working" (she's always said E instead of its). When she says this it means something is not going her way and she's on the verge of a major breakdown.

I feel awful for not taking more pictures (especially when she was really little) of her playing the computer. For her 1st birthday Brittany bought her a couple giggles baby computer programs. She immediately learned it and even still LOVES to play the "puter". This is the look she pulled when I told her to say cheese. Super...

Oh, I think I forgot to mention, Kelsie is potty trained- and has been for over a month now. Hallelujah!!! It was kind of dreading it because I thought it would be so hard and she'd have so many accidents. I was SO wrong!!! She was a piece of cake. The only time she had an accident was after a long nap and she just couldn't make it out of the room fast enough. She's such my big girl!!!

Trading Roles

Just after the 24th of July I got really sick. I'm talking pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. Luckily it is summer time and my mom rushed out to save my bacon. After a while she drug Kels & I to Roosevelt and that's when Kelsie turned into my little mommy. She was so cute to take care of me. She would give me kisses to be all better and bring me medicine. She even painted my toes. And after all that she taught Billy some tricks. Being 2 1/2 is hard work! :) I have the best little girl (& mom) EVER!!!

If you haven't noticed in other posts, Kelsie loves glasses. All I have are sunglasses for her to wear but there are reading glasses all over my mom & dads house. Kels found this pair quite a while ago and got really attached. I think after a while they would make her dizzy. So wonderful Grammy finally donated them to the Kelsie project and took the lenses out. Now every time we go visit, this is Kelsie's favorite thing.

I let her do the top coat. Check out that concentration. She did it better than any professional could have.

Brittany's pool

Brittany & Kailee moved. Their new apartment has a pool and Kailee was so excited to invite us over to go swimming. Check out Kelsie's hair. Its the first time we've put it in a pony tail. So Dang Cute!!!

Callen

We had a fun BBQ/birthday/going away party for Callen. He left to go back home to Alaska. Boohoo!!!! We all miss him so much – especially Kailee. She smothers him. She’s sure they are going to get married some day.

Misc Videos

Kels gets so excited to sing this that she slurs the whole end together. It is so hilarious!!!

This video is actually from snowbird. The girls have this thing that they do quite often. They hit their heads and say om-wom-poomby. We asked Kailee what it means and she said it is on Aristocats. I've seen the movie and I don't remember anything like it. If any of you know, please help us! Here Kailee is trying to teach Brittany how to say it correctly. Too funny.

I can't remember where we were going in this video but I laugh every time I hear Kels laugh. I love how she says "he wants to hold my lap".
