Some of her friends

Kelsie LOVES her stuffed animals. Like seriously LOVES them! She likes dolls and barbies ok but really prefers the more cuddly kind. If you ask her, she'll tell you that these are some of her "friends". This is only a small sample of what she has. In other words this is the group we could grab in one load to bring down stairs. She names most of them. I'll try to get them right...

From left to right are: Woody(obviously- from toy story), Mickey, Marie (from aristocats), Max (the dog), Green (the frog), Crocky (alligator/crocodile), Maggie (the cow) & Skunky (skunk). Underneath all of them is her lady bug pillow pet. I wonder if she's named that yet... Kelsie has always stashed things. I don't know why. When she was super little it was usually her binky. She would hide it in the funniest places. I haven't noticed her doing it much anymore, until the other day. Our regular routine in the mornings is that I go get her out of bed and carry her downstairs. Then I turn on cartoons and let her wake up on her own before I start getting her ready for the day. This one particular morning she was really tired and out of it but as soon as I laid her down she starting reaching under the couch. Her eyes were still closed and I wondered if she was dreaming but she was very persistant. I lifted up the corner of the couch and she pulled out my makeup brush that has been missing for months now. That little sneak!!!

Presidents Day weekend bust

Presidents Day weekend was kind of a flop. We actually had planned to go visit my family in Roosevelt. Kels was super excited. She loves going to Rowbelt. I packed up all our stuff and loaded the car. We did a last minute potty run and then my phone rang. It was my mom and she said she had heard that there was a huge snow storm through the canyons. I admit the mountains looked crappy but I was willing to give it a try anyway - until I got that call. Basically we decided that it just wasn't worth it. :( I tried explaining to Kels that our plans changed but I don't think she really understood. I didn't have any thing else planned but didn't want to stay home the whole time either. So at last minute we jumped in the car and headed to the district. The theater out there is huge!! We saw Yogi Bear which I think Kelsie really liked. After the movie we met Mazee for lunch at CPK. The day went from dreary to pretty fun. These are pics of Kels outside the theater. She loved the fountain!

Chief Big Girl aka Kelsinator

It was way past time to do another photo shoot. These pictures although ridiculously cute just remind me how big Kels is getting. It happens so fast. The wooden chair in some of the pictures was mine when I was a little girl.

Long hair

Its weird to me that Kels is 3 and has never had a hair cut. Her hair always seems short in pictures but really its just because it is SO DANG CURLY. Sometimes the curls in the back are so tight that I can't even slip my pinky in them. Its grown so much in the last year and really its half way down her back. I tried to take this picture of her in the tub. I had to hurry and pour water on it and then hurry to take the picture because other wise it would just boing back up.
