Random World

Kelsie is sure that she should eat cheetos with every meal. Not only that but they are great mixed with other foods. Cheetos & popcorn... yum!Lately she loves sticking her tongue out. Usually its because she's pretending to be a puppy. 99% of the time if you ask her, her name is Chief. The other 1% she's Bolt.
One bag is never enough. Besides that crunchy and puffy are two completely different options. Why not pick both???
I got worried about all the neighbor kids playing on the swing set so I bought a tarp. I thought that would be suffice. Up until one Saturday when I heard them outside. They we trying to skate board down the slide. URG! Normally I'm a bit of a kid pushover but not this time. I'm pretty sure they won't be trying that stunt again. There's almost nothing better at night than clean bed sheets. I love the feel and smell. If I had time I would wash them every other day. Unfortunately they only get done on weekends and even then I usually have a helper that makes the process 50 time harder but 80 times more fun!!!

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when Kelsie picked out the black nail polish for herself. At first I thought no way but then I realized that I wasn't a very good example so I crumbled. Here we are with matching fingers.
Kels takes very good care of her animal friends. This was their nap time and I was instructed to be quiet so they could sleep.
I found the best way to post no makeup-early morning self pics of me on the internet... the pencil sketch action. Love it! And I love my baby!!!

Scorpions, NO. Snakes, YES!

Memorial weekend was a busy one! We spent Saturday helping Prows' move. Sunday was a little rainy and every one else had other plans. We were sitting at my house and I said "I know lets hurry and go to the zoo!" I think my mom and Brittany thought I was crazy because of the rain but Dustin and Kels were excited. We took a poll and it was unanimous. Less than an hour later we were on the road. It was a perfect day for the zoo. There actually weren't a lot of people there and the rain stopped. Yeay! First thing we did was go to a animal show. There were 2 zoo keepers that brought different animals out. First they brought out a scorpion (in a glass cage, of course). Kels snuggled up to Dustin when they brought it over for her to look at. Towards the end they brought out a chuckwalla lizard and a snake. Kels couldn't wait to pet both of them- especially the snake. That's my girl!!! Now she is naming all her animals Kyle. He's the guy in the picture and I think he's officially the coolest person she knows because he had a snake.

Kels jumped in and joined the drum circle outside the elephant habitat. Usually she's really shy but she sat right down and started jamming.

We love our zoo a lot. Even though a chunk of it is under construction there are still a bunch of other cool animals to check out. Plus I can't even start to describe how incredibly excited I am for the exhibit coming next year.
Here is Kels checking out the baby lemurs. The mom and dad lemur were going crazy and it was so fascinating.
The new thing at the zoo this year has something to do with dinosaurs. There are several life sized dinos all around the park. Most of them move and make noises. I thought Kels would be so scared but for some crazy reason, SHE LOVED THEM!

FUN ZOO DAY!!!
