Swimming
Last year Kels was terrified of swimming. She would clench on to me so tight and cry if water got on her face. Holy-molly what a difference 1 year makes!!! We took the girls over to my pool Saturday night. At first Kels couldn't stop giggling. I think she was kind of in shock because it was pretty cold. But then she saw Kailee and with her bottom lip quivering said "onna do it myself". She did so good and I was so proud.

Camping
Here are some pictures from when we went camping. Yes, I went camping. Ugh. Just kidding. Actually I had a lot of fun. We went to lodge pole and since it was only June, there were no bugs. Yeay! Kels & I shared a bed in the camper. We went to bed really late and it was pitch black. Kels kept smacking me in the head and saying "e that you momma?" There were other people already asleep so I was trying to be quiet but it was so hard not to laugh.

This might be one of those 'you had to be there' moments but it was so funny. Mazee brought her dog Dexter camping with us. We were all siting around the campfire and she gave him a treat. Kels studied him for a while and then said "momma, what dex eating?" I replied with "a bone". She studied even harder and then said "a bum? ew gross!" I guess she thought I said bum and was completely disgusted. Can't say I blame her. :)

Check out this leaf. It is actually growing through another dead leaf. There were several others just like this. Isn't nature so crazy! It blows my mind!! I just don't understand how the new soft leaf was able to push an actual hole through the dead crinkly leaf. Why didn't it just push it over out of the new leafs way? I'm so perplexed. Hopefully someday when Kels comes home with earth science homework she won't ask me for help...

The randomest of random world
Our daily grind:
We love to color with sidewalk chalk. My sidewalk is so colorful and beautiful. Thanks to Kels.Kels loves wearing her princess crown. She even insisted she wear it in the tubby. I guess it needed a scrub too.
SO I was way past due but I finally got a new cell phone. I was going through my old phone and found TONS of pics that I don't think I ever put on here. So here they are...

First pigtails...
This picture makes me laugh (hard) every time I see it. We were home watching disney one day and some kids music video came on. Well I wasn't really paying attention and all the sudden Kels yelled out "Grammy" and was pointing to the TV. I rewound it and then paused it on this spot. Even to this day, she still thinks this is grammy...

Brittany took this picture and sent it to me while I was in Vegas last March. It remains one of my favorite pictures ever!

Memorial Weekend
Brittany & I took the girls to Roosevelt over memorial weekend. This was the trip there. It cracks me up when the girls hold hands in the car. They do it quite a bit.
It was such a busy weekend but we loved every minute of it! Friday night my whole family went and saw the new shrek movie. I was nervous about Kels because last time I took her to a movie we spent over half the time out in the hallway. This time was so much better. Even though she bounced laps every 5 seconds, we still made it through and the movie was so good!!!
Saturday morning, my mom bought flowers to plant in her yard. The girls were super excited to help.

Then that night we went up the canyon to roast hot dogs and hamburgers. It was so beautiful up there! The river was freezing but Kels kept saying "i onna go fishing" which really meant laying over a rock and splashing her stick in the water. Guess she learned that from her daddy.

Memorial morning we all packed in the suburban and headed to the bluebell cemetery. If I remember right the trip there was pretty quiet. About half way there Brittany explained to Kailee what we were going there for. She listened intently and seemed to understand perfectly. About 30 seconds later Kailee said "Linds, guess what. I have a big brother in heaven." The tone of her voice sounded so proud. I replied with something like "that is so cool". Then she proceeded to my mom by telling her the same exact thing. We were all in tears.

We stayed for a while and the girls collected a ton of dandelions to leave on the headstone. Then we all piled back in the car. Kailee found a pinwheel on the floor of the car and insisted that she leave it for Baby James. So Brittany took her back out there and left it for him. So precious.
