Oakley Rodeo

Every year we go to the Oakley Rodeo. I was nervous about taking Kelsie (especially since it started at 8pm) but she loved it. The only part she wasn't really sure about was the calf roping. She had the most sincere look of concern for the calves. We had to reassure her that they were ok. Brittany & I love dressing the girls up. This year it back fired on me though. I bought Kelsie the cutest cowboy boots but lately she's gotten pretty picky about her looks. Yes, my 2 and a half year old is very opinionated. I was worried she wouldn't want anything to do with the boots. Boy was I WRONG! Now I can't get the dang things off of her. Its all she ever wants to wear. URG! This morning she even wore them with her shorts and tank top to day care. For a second the movie Footloose popped into my head when Ariel has on her red boots that her daddy hates. And that's what I'm raising. AWESOME!

After the rodeo we found this lady & her two horses in the inside arena. So we went in there to check it out and she let let the girls in to pet her horse. She was one of the barrel racers that night and I think she's from Canada.
