We survived another year of working the cows. :) They need stuff done just like we do (shots, etc).
Kels actually really enjoys it and has become quite the helper.

She helped me cross the numbers off. And no, we didn't make any mistakes.
Yeay!!

It was really pretty cold that day. It even started snowing towards the end of the day.
Kels got chilly so I stuck her in my car. Here she is watching Alvin and the Chipmunks and eating cookie crisp. What could be better?!?!

But mostly she loved watching the little
calves. She said "I
jus yove the
yittow caffies so much".

As an added bonus she got to play swords (with cattle prods) with Uncle
Dus. Super!

After working the cows and calves we went back to the house for some yummy grub. Then after lunch we piled in the truck and headed way, way, way out in the field. Papa Don has a calf that has 2 broken legs and maybe even a broken back. He made him a warm bottle and
Kels was so excited to feed the "
caffie". He even licked her hand after. I really think he was just looking for more milk but we told her that he was saying thanks for the milky and give her a
caffie kiss.

It was a long busy day but
Kels did great and really loves visiting "the
ola" (
Neola). We were glad that Grandma Reva and
Grandpa Hal could be there too this year!
