Its true, I have passed on my super intelligence of vocabulary words to my daughter. I've been known to say things quite a bit that nobody knows the meaning of. Well ok, that might be a fib. (I'm sure Kelsie's dad is on the floor laughing at me right now). Truth is I suck at spelling and the biggest word I know is, um, I can't think of any at the moment. Thank goodness for spell-checker. I'm more of a make-up-a-word kind of girl. Kelsie on the other hand is starting to pick up everything she hears and uses the cutest phrases. Here are a few of her latest:
She says "fwreakin pithcuthting" quite a bit. Or "that's pithcuthting mom". What she's really saying is that whatever we're talking about is disgusting. I love that she puts a p at the beginning and the th is from her lisp. Cracks me up every time she says it!
When she first looked through the 3D glasses at the IMAX In the wild show she saw the orangutan and exclaimed "wow, he's enormous!" We about died laughing. I had never heard her say that word before. It was awesome!
Last week she told me that she was "so terrified". When I asked her why she explained to me that it was because she missed her cousin Kailee so much.
Her other favorite word is actually. She uses it quite a bit and usually its to correct something I've said that is wrong. Apparently I'm wrong A LOT!
Kels and Kailee were making up stories the other day. Kailee got done with hers and said "ok Kels, its your turn". Kels was quiet for quite a while and then said "One-a-ponce a time..."
I love how Kelsie sings. It is the cutest thing ever. I especially love "row, row, row your boat- gently down the street". And my other favorite is "ipsy, ipsy spider went up the water spout".
My very most favorite thing she says is Zebra. Add the words very and sleepy and its the cutest thing I've ever heard. Seriously! I know that I should be encouraging her to pronounce things correctly but I'm in major denial that my baby is growing up. She won't say say things wrong or with a lisp her whole life (hopefully) and I'm mostly enjoying the moment. So here's to:
BERRY SWEEPY SWEBWAS!!!
