Memorial Weekend

Brittany & I took the girls to Roosevelt over memorial weekend. This was the trip there. It cracks me up when the girls hold hands in the car. They do it quite a bit.It was such a busy weekend but we loved every minute of it! Friday night my whole family went and saw the new shrek movie. I was nervous about Kels because last time I took her to a movie we spent over half the time out in the hallway. This time was so much better. Even though she bounced laps every 5 seconds, we still made it through and the movie was so good!!!
Saturday morning, my mom bought flowers to plant in her yard. The girls were super excited to help.
Then that night we went up the canyon to roast hot dogs and hamburgers. It was so beautiful up there! The river was freezing but Kels kept saying "i onna go fishing" which really meant laying over a rock and splashing her stick in the water. Guess she learned that from her daddy.
Memorial morning we all packed in the suburban and headed to the bluebell cemetery. If I remember right the trip there was pretty quiet. About half way there Brittany explained to Kailee what we were going there for. She listened intently and seemed to understand perfectly. About 30 seconds later Kailee said "Linds, guess what. I have a big brother in heaven." The tone of her voice sounded so proud. I replied with something like "that is so cool". Then she proceeded to my mom by telling her the same exact thing. We were all in tears. We stayed for a while and the girls collected a ton of dandelions to leave on the headstone. Then we all piled back in the car. Kailee found a pinwheel on the floor of the car and insisted that she leave it for Baby James. So Brittany took her back out there and left it for him. So precious.
