Urg. Kels & Kailee have made friends with the neighbor kids. Kels calls them "the boys". I know its awful but I don't like them. For no reason other than they are boys. I do have a brother and I love him very much but I'm a lot older than him. I was a teenager and all caught up in myself when he was this age. Boys are CRAZY! They fight and wrestle and scream and are very physical. These neighbor boys tackle each other in the street and fight with pretend guns. Yep, its true and I find myself being disgusted and judgemental. Thank goodness I had a girl. I'm afraid I would be a terrible mom to a boy. Ok, that's probably not true but its weird to imagine. This was the first day that the girls begged to go play with the boys. I sent them out with sidewalk chalk and then stocked them with my eagle eye through the window the whole time.

After a while they got sick of the sidewalk chalk. That's when the girls decided to pick my flowers. Usually I try to discourage that but this particular day, I couldn't have been more proud.

Then Kailee measured how tall Kels is on the tree. Yes, I was laughing out loud, inside, all by myself. So super cute!!!

After all that busy playing they smelled like summer time kids so I got them both in the tubby. Kelsie's hair is so thick and it takes forever to air dry (sounds familiar) so I usually blow it dry. I think what I love the most about this picture is that their legs are crossed over each other and they are both in the same pose.
